Shane Watson did his bit to ensure that Phil Hughes will, after all, not get a chance to flaunt his newly found, Virender Sehwagesque batting.
It is reported that Watson batted for more than one hour in the nets at Hamilton without any perceptible pain or discomfort to almost ascertain his place in the starting line-up for the second Test match at Hamilton.
Watson had been injured before the start of the first Test match at Wellington, and had not been picked because of a hip injury. In his place, Phil Hughes was chosen in the playing eleven and he smacked an unbeaten 80 in the second innings of the game.
With Watson returning back, it is said that Hughes will lose his place in the line-up for the Hamilton Test match that starts from 27th of March. Australia lead 1-0.
