The world's watching the AB de Villiers catch!

March 26th 2010 13:14
I ain't lying for sure. Trust me, I have my own blog, and have a stats meter that tells me about why the people are visiting it! And 90% of the guys were there to watch the AB de Villiers catch, that he took to dismiss Praveen Kumar in their IPL game.

Of course, it cannot be compared with the Adam Voges catch, which was much more exciting to watch, but there is a similarity - both seemed impossible at one stage, before being turned into reality.

AB de Villier's was a more of a, judge the ball, put out the hand, hope the ball sticks, hope he did not fall over the boundary and hope that even when he fell, the ball did not bounce off after sticking.

Of course, it was not that simple. Ask anyone and they will tell you that such catches are a result of the hours and hours of practice put in by the fielder and that is exactly what AB de Villiers seems to have done. Way to go and to me, the catch of the IPL so far.

You can watch the AB de Villiers catch of Praveen Kumar here.
