Banned cricketer Ravindra Jadeja has been afforded a lifeline by the IPL governing council who will re-hear his case for him to be able to participate in the IPL this season. Jadeja had earlier been banned by the IPL for not having a contract by the deadline and trying to re-negotiate the IPL contract with another franchise.
It is said that Jadeja was trying to negotiate the contract with Mumbai Indians and hence, all the three involved entities, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals and Jadeja will be present for the hearing.
The hearing will be conducted by Arun Jaitley, who is the head of the Delhi cricket association. The decision will be final and binding on all parties.
There have been murmurs that Rajasthan Royals to whom Jadeja belonged earlier have been struggling in the tournament due to the loss of their main guys; Jadeja, Graeme Smith and Dimitri Mascarenhas and that is the reason the hearing has been called for!
