Shane Warne loves picking up a scrap or two on the field.
First it was Sourav Ganguly in the 2008 edition of IPL, then he tried to instigate the Indian fans by speaking of their demi-god as a mere mortal and now, it was the turn of Dinesh Karthik to bear the brunt of his tantrums in the Delhi-Rajasthan game at Kotla.
Did I just say 'bear the brunt'? Because, it was Warne who, in the eventual end, had to bear the total brunt. And was burnt.
First, the couple jostled while running between the wickets. No-one's fault. Yet, it was funny that Warne questioned Karthik why was he pushing him away. Simple logic mate, you come in someone's way, they push you away.
Then, Karthik did not take a single that would have brought Andrew McDonald on strike. Come on Warne, you cannot have a problem with that. Despite McDonald been a Victorian as well. But, Warne is what Warne is. And he had a problem.
He taunts Karthik again.
Next ball from Tait is short, on Karthik's ribs. He swivels and smashes it over the boundary. Six runs.
"Got the answer mate?", Karthik politely queries.
