Cannot think of playing Mathew Sinclair against Australia

I do not even know who Kane Williamson is. Except that his records show that he is a precocious 19-year old waiting to break into the New Zealand team. Good on him. Give him the break. But to get in Matthew Sinclair, again, is nothing short of a joke!
After two double centuries and a 150 in his first few Tests, Sinclair has always struggled to get going; not getting to another century ever since. He may attribute that to the constant chopping and changing and the ever-present ax on his head, but that is how international cricket usually is. Perform or perish.
And talking of performance against the Australian side, he has done anything but that. In the eight games that he has played in, against the Aussies, he means 14. Of course, one may argue that even if he gets 14 runs in each of the two innings in the game, he would have done better than some of the Kiwis from the previous game! But, then, that is no way of making selections.
To me, it does not look like the Kiwi selectors or the team management even think of getting a 34-year old Sinclair into the Test XI and afford the Black Cap to a younger, and hopefully, a more talented Williamson, who has been selected in the 14-member squad for the second Test match at Hamilton.
New Zealand cannot keep playing their cricket backwards.
