The Aussie flavour set to be added to the IPL! Even as the Australian side wraps up their tour of New Zealand with the second Test match, and a few of its players join the third edition of the IPL, there are a couple of new names added to the pot.
Rajasthan Royals have decided to replace their injured opening batsman, Graeme Smith with Aaron Finch from Victoria, whereas Doug Bollinger will join the Chennai Super Kings side after they had lost Jacob Oram to injury as well.
Chennai is currently struggling at the bottom half of the points table and will need a super effort from Bollinger if they are to repeat their successes of the previous two years. Their main problem has been the bowling attack and it does look like Bollinger could get a chance immediately.
Rajasthan may have called upon Finch, but with Shane Watson expected to come in as well, it could become an interesting three-way battle for the opening slot between Michael Lumb, Watto and Finch.
Earlier, Rajasthan Royals had excluded Damien Martyn from their side, something that the batsman said he knew would happen.
